French Top Trumps!
French students in Year 7 at Seven Kings are going mad for Top Trumps cards – in French!
Last week I was so pleased with my class. Their homework was to make a few top trumps cards about animals from the website below. Then in class we practised big numbers before they got on and played! It was brilliant how they figured out the info for themselves – reading and oral communication for a real and fun purpose I think! Trouble is do I keep the cards as a memento or surrender them back to their owners???
Funny interactive French games!

Chinese music project
You will be working in groups of 5 to compose and perform a piece of music in the Chinese tradition. You have been given one of the 5 elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Wood, Metal) and the notes G, A, B, D and E (a “pentatonic” scale) to work with.
You need to compose your melody, so if you need manuscript paper you can print it for free at:
http://www.blanksheetmusic.net/
Don’t forget to bring your instruments in next lesson to perform!
